Financial Times journalist Isabel Berwick, write about her experience joining Charter and Mesmerise fireside chat in the Metaverse with a Meta Quest headset. Isabel shares her unfiltered opinion on the experience and how it demand total immersion from its users:
“You have to listen. You can’t multitask by turning the camera off to put the washing on, nor can you attend to the eight other tasks you’ve got open on your desktop or carry on with emails while other people talk at you.”
Isabel also had a chance to connect with Mesmerise CEO, Andrew Hawken, who shared that the technology is currently being used to on-board banking interns, and training for medical undergraduates featuring a 3D model of a human heart.
